Born in Rapid City, Jill Tesnow is familiar with the gorgeous scenery of the Black Hills. After receiving her Bachelors of Art at Black Hills State College (now University), she has been inspired to create and share its beauty with others, mainly en plein air.

Though painting en plein air is her main passion, she casts a wide net of artistic skills creating portraits, buildings, pets, and more in mediums such as watercolor, acrylic, oil, pen and ink, and pastel. She has illustrated a children's book and is working on others.

Jill is the wife of a pastor and is a retired paraprofessional in Special Education. She is delighted to have time to do other things such as gardening, reading, landscaping and visiting friends and family.
